Description:
Wrought iron nail found in the northwestern corner of the site. This nail and a number of others found at the site must have been acquired by the Beothuk from European fishermen. Such nails were sometimes altered by the Beothuk to make iron tools.

Description:
Recent Indian/Beothuk side notched arrowhead made of grey chert. This is one of the few side notched projectile points found at Russell's Point.
Name: Recent Indian Stone Knife Blade.

Recent Indian stone knife blade found in Hearth 11 in the southeast corner of the site. This blade probably would have been set in a wooden or bone handle.

Description:
Ramah chert arrowhead found in the southeast quadrant of the site. The chert used to make this arrowhead comes from northern Labrador and must have been traded along the Labrador coast and into Newfoundland.
